Estandon Notre Dame des Anges, AOP Côtes de Provence Notre Dame des Anges, Rosé, 2021

Notre Dame des Anges is a new designation.

Nestled within the heart of the Var, the Notre Dame des Anges vineyard is the fifth terroir in the Côtes de Provence AOC to have the status of DGC, Dénomination Géographique Complémentaire (complementary geographical denomination), attributed to terroirs with specific natural characteristics and growing practices.

Its name refers to the highest point of the Massif des Maures, visible from all the villages of Var.

Story

Terroir
There are several types of soils on a Permian base: sandstone, pelites, sandstone, old alluvial terraces of the Aille river, limestone or schist overlappings.

The climate is Mediterranean but with continental influences, as the Massif des Maures protects the vineyards from maritime influences.
