Sponsored in 1720 by Mr de Fonscolombe, the castle of the same name is a splendid building related to the Italian quattrocento.
About fifteen kilometres from Aix-en-Provence, at the heart of the Durance valley and facing the Luberon mountains, this jewel shines in its lush greenery where the deer frolic while swans glide over the water in the basin. Following an alliance, in 1810, the castle belong to Saporta family.
The domain of Fonscolombe is now one of the largest vineyards in Provence.
